Vanishree Ravishankar, a Bharathanatyam artiste, a performer, a teacher, a choreographer, began her journey towards her passion 42 years back. She is the disciple of Guru Smt. Savithri Jagannatha Rao (of Pradakshina, and Kalakshetra), and Guru Smt. Bragha Bessell, under whom she trains in Nayika Bhavam. She owns the dance institution-Natya Samarpanam in Chennai.

Dr. Padma Subramanyam
Padma Subramanyam learnt Bharatanatyam from Vazhuvoor Ramiah Pillai, and music from B.V. Lakshman and Salil Chaudhry. Padma reconstructed the 108 karanas through a correlated study of literature, temple sculptures and inscriptions. She revived an obsolete dance technique by translating into practice the theoretical concepts in the Natya Sastra.
