What is Kalāsangama?

Across deserts, mountains, and ancient trade routes, stories traveled through movement.

Kalāsangama is inspired by the breathtaking murals of the Mogao Caves along the Silk Road — where celestial dancers, musicians, guardians, lotus motifs, and Buddhist stories still live on through art painted over a thousand years ago.
In this production, We will explore Buddhist Jataka tales through Dunhuang dance, Bharatanatyam, and Karanas. Let's celebrate the shared heritage through two traditions with the lense of Buddhism.
